We attached small surveillance cameras to each instrument. Here for example is Christoph's saxophone, on which we mounted a color camera pointing up into the saxophone's tube and an infra-red 'search camera' pointing down at the ground.

The video signals from all 4 cameras were fed into a 4-channel video mixer. Tamiko mixed the 4 signals in real time and sent the mixed signal to the projector, which displayed the image on a large screen above the musicians.
