The Missing Art (Scene) of China

Whenever people talk about Chinese art, Beijing and Shanghai must be on the list. Relatively, Hong Kong seems to be a financial city lacking of interesting people. If you really have this idea in mind, you must come to the talk by Cecilia Cheng because you have missed a very important part of Chinese Art.

As a cultural worker, Cecilia Cheng will share her experience and observation in the Media Art scene in Hong Kong. Her talk will focus on Videotage, Para/Site, Microwave festival and ifva, followed by a screening of HK Media artworks from different schools in different generation.

Cecilia, Cheng Wing Man

Cecilia is a recent graduate from the Fine Art department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. As a media art lover, she has been working as a volunteer and a part-time staff in Videotage, the Media Art collective which has been run in Hong Kong for 20 years since 2005. She is now traveling around Europe as a cultural exchange worker.
